The final product of my poster

Font:

The font is like the scribble from an asylum patient, in hint toward the main character, as he is an asylum inmate, but will only reveal during the end.

Title:

As for the title, since this is the horror thriller, it is work like a warning sign for the audience, generate the intense feeling of the audience.

Step:

1. The chair is one of the key item. The chair is hard to find since there is not much picture about it, but I did found a closer look of the chair with large resolution. I trace it out and put it at the middle of the canvas, leave it there for later use.

2. The floor is the easy part of the design. I just need to use a floor texture and distort it.

3. The wall has some challenge since it is very stand out compare to the chair, and it effect the beam light, so I have to keep changing the wall. After that I blur it so it will not be stand out too much.

3. The lighting, to make it look like a horror movie, I use a picture with rust texture then I use blending mode (overlay) to blend it.

4. As for the light beam, I just using the gradient to make it look like it is the light beam from the celling lamp.

5. The hands is also part of the key item. I have several hand pictures with different gesture, trace it out and put it under the gradient color. I mask the gradient a little bit so the hands can be seen.

6. I tune up the brightness a little bit so it will not look very dark when print out.
